Hospital Chiller - HTH

The HTH  line (Hospital Liquid Cooler) was designed to provide a continuous flow of cold water for the perfect operation of magnetic resonance imaging, tomographs and linear accelerators. They were developed in cooperation with several partners, including GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, Varian and Elekta, being provided with specific versions to meet the reliability and durability of each manufacturer. Combining the most advanced technology with competitive prices, the HTH reached a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Double Cooling Circuit 
The chillers are supplied with two independent refrigeration circuits, with 100% redundancy, if necessary. In case of failure in one of the compressors, the other will remain in operation, eliminating the possibility of loss of helium in the magnet of an MRI.

Automatic Capacity Control 
The need for cooling is high during exams and is greatly reduced in the standby condition. The chiller is equipped with resources to automatically monitor this variation by switching compressors every two hours. This feature, in addition to providing great energy savings and longer compressor life, ensures that in the event of a failure in one of them, the equipment will continue to operate normally at half capacity. 

Emergency System
If the chiller is disabled due to a failure, the hospital equipment will be cooled by public water through the operation of two valves. Water will flow through the equipment, back to the chiller and out through the overflow.

Constructive Details 
There are always two compressors with modern scroll technology to provide very high reliability, lower noise level and energy savings of up to 25%. To meet water quality requirements, the installed centrifugal pump is made of stainless steel and all surfaces in contact with water (reservoir, pipes and valves) are corrosion resistant. The cabinet is powder coated with polyester based paint in 80µm thickness to ensure long life in outdoor installations. Water pressure adjustment is achieved by an external water bypass.
